Action

CALLING ALL TEENAGERS, I REPEAT, CALLING ALL TEENAGERS.

We are living in an era where everything is instant. Things that sounded like nonsense to the people in the past is now a reality. We are able to reach to each other as fast as a gust of wind could blow past your ear. Back then, when something really gargantous happened on another side of the world, the other side will obtain information in a matter of three days, four, a week, even. But now, thanks to Twitter and a whole lot of other websites filled with updates, we are able to be in the know of things in the nick of time.

Living a life like this has its own concerns. I, if I have to be honest, am very jealous of how things went when it was all still so complicated, so hard, so... unattainable. Reaching somebody from out of town is also a day's job. It felt like something fun for me, because reaching out to somebody became something very meaningful, something so filled with thought that you are willing to sacrifice your whole day to trying to send them your greetings.

Now, things are wayyyyy (the y's there for emphasizing) different. If I miss somebody, I just need to text them a quick hello and they will text back when they've got the time. Send them pictures of myself and how I'm doing via a messenger, for that matter. Record my voice. Call. Or whatever, anything simplified.

I think that, culture-wise, this affects us so much. We forget how deep connections between people could go. We forget about talking- the real talking, I mean: the ones where we really tie a string between our hearts, and send frequencies of messages through the words that come from our mouths.

Most of all, we have gotten it all too easy. We are accustomed to low amount of efforts, because I think we have gotten  all too easy.

This drives us to the two most evil things a teenager could encounter: laziness and procrastination.

NOTE THAT BOTH OF THOSE WORDS ARE REALLY STRONG. They could hold you back from the good things and experiences that you could have gotten, if you cannot not crush them to pieces.

Now that I have already mentioned this, I will tell you the ultimate weapon to crushing procrastination and laziness to pieces. One word. One word that integrates everything to making you successful. One word that describes what you have to do, to be free from the two words that is tying you up. To learn, to see more things, and that word is...

I present to you...

You might take this word for granted, but please, I beg you, don't. This word, when made into reality, is stronger than you could ever think.

People could speak for days about their vision, about making good stuff happen, about ending whatever they think is unfair in their eyes. They could talk about good plannings and a whole lot of other wonderful things but... those words are meaningless, except if you make them a reality

Dear teenagers, my peers, my friends, my likely acquaintance of the near future:

We could amount to a lot of good things, if we want to make them a reality.

All of you are very smart. Very bright, very brave, bold, and you are capable of ANYTHING, as long as you put your efforts towards it. Don't be a coward, don't be selfish, don't be foolish. We could all work together, unify ourselves in making a better future for this world.

I believe, that the future is a wonderful place, if we all start now. Go! Plan out good things and make them a reality. Make the best of your teenage years, and kick the hell out of the P and the L word.
